Systems Administrator - Cloud Infrastructure

We're seeking a Systems Engineer with strong Linux expertise and experience across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP). The ideal candidate can operate in a cloud-agnostic environment and has hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and automation using Python, Bash, Shell, or similar scripting languages.

Description

We're seeking a Systems Engineer with strong Linux expertise and experience across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP). The ideal candidate can operate in a cloud-agnostic environment and has hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and automation using Python, Bash, Shell, or similar scripting languages.

Two days are required onsite in downtown NYC each week.

• Administer and support cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Install upgrades, patches, and security updates
• Monitor system performance, availability, and health
• Perform backups, disaster recovery, and recovery testing
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, OS, and application issues
• Support Linux environments and core infrastructure services
• Develop automation, scripting, and infrastructure management solutions
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and runbooks
• Partner with engineering teams to enhance reliability, scalability, and security
• Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed

Profile

• Strong Linux administration experience
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar cloud platforms
• Experience working in multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic environments
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Shell, or similar)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Knowledge of infrastructure, networking, servers, operating systems, and platform technologies
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and system issues
• Background in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related disciplines
• Experience supporting highly available, enterprise-scale environments
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies
