Position Description:
CGI is seeking a senior Systems Analyst to support a client in the clinical/healthcare domain. This role serves as the bridge between business/functional requirements and technical implementation for a user facing front end application, working closely with architects, developers, the Product Owner, Business Analyst, and clinical subject matter experts.
The Systems Analyst will analyze, design, and document technical solutions, system integrations, and data flows, ensuring that delivered functionality is technically sound, scalable, secure, and aligned with business and regulatory needs.
Clinical/healthcare experience and exposure to AI enabled application development are preferred but not required.
This work can be performed near one of our CGI offices - Plymouth, Meeting, New Brunswick, NJ, Lafayette, LA, Cary, NC, New York, NY and Hartford, CT.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications, system designs, and integration requirements.
. Design and document interfaces, APIs, data flows, and data mappings between the front end application, backend services, data platforms, and AI enabled capabilities.
. Evaluate solution feasibility, technical trade offs, and system impacts, and recommend approaches in partnership with architects and engineering.
. Produce technical artifacts - system and interface specifications, data models, sequence and flow diagrams, and configuration documentation.
. Support integration of AI/ML enabled services into the application, defining inputs, outputs, expected system behavior, and edge cases.
. Collaborate across the SDLC with developers, QA, DevOps, and security teams to ensure designs are implemented as intended.
. Analyze and troubleshoot system and integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation.
. Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HL7/FHIR).
. Support environment, release, and deployment planning, and validate technical readiness ahead of go live.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role delivering software systems.
. Strong track record translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications and system designs.
. Deep understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and data modeling.
. Experience designing or documenting integrations across front end applications, backend services, and data platforms.
. Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum SDLC environments.
. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
. Proficiency with diagramming and modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, UML).
. Proven ability to work across cross functional technical and business teams.
. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
. Experience in clinical, healthcare, life sciences, or health tech.
. Exposure to projects involving AI/ML enabled application development, including integrating AI driven services and defining their system behavior.
. Knowledge of clinical workflows, EHR/EMR, patient data, HIPAA, HL7/FHIR, or healthcare interoperability.
Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $139,300.00.
