    Position Summary

    Palladium is seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Forecasting and Supply Planning Specialist to support the strengthening of Botswanas public health supply chain. The successful candidate will lead commodity forecasting, quantification, and supply planning processes to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential medicines, laboratory commodities, diagnostics, vaccines, and other health products.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead national commodity forecasting and quantification exercises using consumption, morbidity, demographic, and program data.
    • Develop and maintain national supply and procurement plans to ensure commodity availability.
    • Analyze supply chain data to monitor stock status, forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and pipeline risks.
    • Support inventory optimization and recommend strategies to reduce stock-outs, overstocking, expiries, and emergency procurements.
    • Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and presentations to inform supply chain decision-making.
    • Strengthen forecasting and supply planning systems through capacity building, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement.
    • Support the use and enhancement of digital supply chain information systems, including eLMIS and related platforms.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in health commodity forecasting, quantification, supply planning, or public health supply chain management.
    • Experience working with Ministry of Health systems and/or donor-funded health programs.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using eLMIS, ERP systems, DHIS2,QAT, Power BI, or similar platforms.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
