• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - IL
• 2-5 years experience
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred

Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Case Management, Utilization Review, Social Services: Provides admission and continued stay reviews on all patients for the purpose of compliance and the proper utilization of resources. Provides social service resources to patient's and their families.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Coordinates the administration of comprehensive social work. Understands and participates in the operational processes of the patient care area and as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver the safest and most efficient/effective patient care to patients. Evaluates patient care and programming through part-time direct supervision and chart reviews.

Responsibilities

Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.Assists with operations of unit services and integration with other departments.Hires, manages, and evaluates staff and services to build an effective work unit.
