Overview
System One is seeking a Production Supervisor in the St. Louis, MO area. Ideally looking for someone with a background in steel fabrication, material processing and CNC machining.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate material requisitions, ordering, and receipt to support production needs in the structural steel fabrication division.
- Coordinate with production teams to align processing activities with project schedules.
- Maintain understanding and optimization of machinery used in material processing.
- Ensure accuracy of parts being processed and keep track of parts and assemblies in designated tracking systems.
- Maintain accuracy and proper management of inventory in FabTrol, including monthly/quarterly reconciliation of steel inventory.
- Ensure compliance with incoming steel standards and track material costs per project.
- Record inventory usage and production data daily in FabTrol, and maintain Certified Test Report files.
- Properly mark and store materials, manage scrap material tracking, and oversee inventory control.
- Participate in project meetings such as kick-off, closeout, and shop prep meetings.
- Supervise machine operators and material handlers; create and update training procedures for machines.
- Travel as needed to company and subsidiary offices, client sites, subcontractor and supplier meetings across North America.
Requirements- Associate degree or equivalent with 5-10 years of construction material experience, including purchasing procedures and material valuation.
- OSHA 30 certification required within 1 month of hiring.
- Knowledge of inventory control, material processing, and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong supervisory skills and ability to coordinate multiple teams and activities effectively.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
