Job Summary

The Supervisor II – Operations is responsible for leading production, maintenance, and/or warehouse teams to achieve departmental goals in safety, quality, productivity, schedule, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The supervisor serves as the first-line liaison between shop-floor employees and management, providing leadership, guidance, performance management, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

·         Supervise and lead production, maintenance, and/or warehouse employees.

·         Develop and execute departmental plans to achieve goals for: Safety, Quality, Schedule, Efficiency, Continuous Improvement

·         Investigate, analyze, and resolve system, part, people, and process issues.

·         Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes and performance.

·         Administer employee policies, procedures, practices, and work rules.

·         Monitor individual and production-line performance and take corrective action when needed.

·         Address employee concerns and complaints appropriately.

·         Work with the Safety Team to maintain company safety standards and prevent workplace injuries.

·         Plan equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and asset utilization.

·         Manage and control costs within departmental operating budget targets.

·         Establish a positive work environment through communication, feedback, and employee guidance.

·         Ensure employees have the appropriate training, work instructions, and tools to perform their jobs.

·         Lead and support departmental continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Act as a communication link between production employees and management.
