Job Summary

The Supervisor II – Operations is responsible for leading production, maintenance, and/or warehouse employees and achieving departmental goals related to safety, quality, productivity, schedule, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

This role serves as the first-line liaison between shop-floor employees and management, providing leadership, guidance, performance management, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

·         Supervise and lead production, maintenance, and/or warehouse employees.

·         Develop and execute departmental plans focused on: Safety, Quality, Production Schedule, Efficiency, Continuous Improvement

·         Investigate, analyze, and resolve system, part, people, and process issues.

·         Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes and performance.

·         Administer employee policies, procedures, practices, and work rules.

·         Monitor individual and production-line performance.

·         Take corrective action, including discipline, when necessary.

·         Respond to employee complaints and ensure compliance with company policies.

·         Work with the Safety Team to maintain company standards and enforce safety regulations.

·         Plan equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and utilization of capital assets.

·         Manage and control costs within departmental operating budget targets.

·         Maintain an effective work environment through communication, feedback, and employee guidance.

·         Ensure employees have appropriate training, work instructions, and tools.

·         Lead departmental continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Serve as the communication link between production employees and management.
