Job Summary
Seeking a Supervisor II to lead production/warehouse employees and ensure safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and continuous improvement goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise production, maintenance, or warehouse employees.
· Drive safety, quality, schedule, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Lead a production workforce according to daily production priorities.
· Monitor production plans and troubleshoot people, process, part, and system issues.
· Ensure employees have proper training, work instructions, and tools.
· Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and work rules.
· Monitor individual and team performance and take corrective action when needed. Supervisong
· Partner with Safety, Supply Management, Engineering, Operations, and HR.
· Support employee engagement through effective communication and feedback.
· Lead CI and ergonomic risk assessment activities.
· Monitor workmanship and ensure products meet quality requirements.
· Support equipment maintenance and help control operating costs.
· Promote near-miss reporting and timely safety corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
· Experience supporting shop-floor manufacturing and/or warehouse operations.
· Demonstrated team leadership experience.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Experience communicating across multiple functions.
· Flexibility to work across shifts when required by production needs.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with Continuous Improvement Pay Plans (CIPP).
· Experience with wage/union employee policies and procedures.
· Experience leading or supervising a union workforce.
· Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) and 5S.
Ideal Candidate
A strong hands-on team leader who is comfortable on the shop floor, can manage production employees, solve operational problems, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
