    Why This Role Matters

    The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable provides leadership, governance and operational ownership within the North America Accounts Receivable team in a centralized, shared services operating model, supporting Banfield, BluePearl and VCA. The role is accountable for team performance, balance integrity, issue resolution and service outcomes across the AR portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant execution of AR activities across a highly complex, multi-site network of veterinary hospitals.

     

    This position leads a team of Accounts Receivable Analysts across both core AR and associate receivables (collections), focusing on people leadership, performance management, escalation resolution and control governance rather than transactional processing, which is executed by shared services and hospital teams. The Supervisor plays a critical role in driving consistency, strengthening internal controls and ensuring effective and complaint service delivery across the AR function

    You Will

    • Lead and develop a team of Accounts Receivable Analysts across core AR and collections activities by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, supporting development planning and addressing performance or prioritization challenges
    • Own team performance and service outcomes, ensuring alignment to service level targets, balance accuracy, aging performance and compliance requirements
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, non-routine, policy-driven and higher-risk AR and collections issues, exercising judgment and decision-making authority within established policies and governance frameworks, including determining resolution strategies and escalation pathways
    • Lead and develop a team of Accounts Receivable Analysts across core AR and collections activities by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, supporting development planning and addressing performance or prioritization challenges
    • Own team performance and service outcomes, ensuring alignment to service level targets, balance accuracy, aging performance and compliance requirements
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, non-routine, policy-driven and higher-risk AR and collections issues, exercising judgment and decision-making authority within established policies and governance frameworks, including determining resolution strategies and escalation pathways
    • Ensure timely and effective resolution of escalated issues impacting AR balances, aging trends, internal controls and downstream financial reporting and close activities
    • Provide governance oversight of AR and collections activities executed by shared services and hospital teams, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to policies and controls
    • Drive performance improvement across AR and collections, analyzing trends, identifying systemic issues and implementing corrective actions to improve balance accuracy, aging performance and compliance
    • Ensure alignment and coordination across AR and collections activities, balancing priorities, resources and issue resolution across both workstreams
    • Partner cross-functionally with Shared Services, hospital teams, Accounting, Payroll Legal and the Business Relationship Manager to align priorities, resolve issues and maintain operational consistency
    • Provide oversight and escalation support for associate receivables and collections processes, including payroll deduction setup, monitoring, exception handling and resolution of complex or sensitive cases
    • Monitor AR and collections performance, balances and trends; overseeing root-cause analysis, identify risks and driving corrective actions to improve service quality and financial outcomes
    • Reinforce adherence to AR policies, procedures and internal control requirements; ensure audit readiness and proper documentation
    • Support training, operational readiness and targeted improvement initiatives to address recurring issues and process gaps
    • Lead and support transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing AR governance, processes and service delivery models

    Your Experience Should Include

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, a related Field, or equivalent practical experience
    • 5-7+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, payroll-related receivables, or a similar analytical finance role
    • 2+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management and team development
    • Strong understanding of AR processes, internal controls, compliance requirements and audit support
    • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex AR, non-routine AR and collections issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret performance metrics, trends and variances and translate insights into action
    • Demonstrated ability to drive performance outcomes, including improving balance accuracy, aging trends and compliance through data-driven decision-making
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
    • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across shared services partners and cross-functional teams
    • Experience supporting process documentation, standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with data sets and reporting
    • Ability to make decisions within established controls to resolve issues and ensure compliant outcomes
    • Ability to handle sensitive financial and associate-related data with integrity and confidentiality
    • Strong ownership mindset with accountability, attention to detail and continuous improvement orientation

    Salary range: $101,600 - $182,562.50

    Compensation is determined based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Our salary ranges aredetermined by role, level, location, and market competitiveness.
