Job Description

As a Building and Construction Superintendent in Buffalo, NY you will:

• Manage all day-to-day field operations on active construction projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within quality standards
• Lead site safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance
• Conduct regular quality inspections and monitor workmanship
• Coordinate site logistics, sequencing, and deliveries
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Track project progress and proactively resolve field issues
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and development teams
• Maintain daily reports and project documentation
• Support project closeout and punch-list completion

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent in Buffalo, NY should have:

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience
• Strong commercial or residential construction background
• Proven experience managing projects from groundbreaking through completion
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety

Highly Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive multi-family construction experience
• Experience overseeing apartment communities, mixed-use developments, affordable housing, or residential developments
• Experience managing large-scale wood-frame, podium, or concrete multi-family projects
• Strong understanding of residential finishes, building systems, and occupancy requirements
• Experience coordinating multiple trades on active multi-family projects
• Stable work history with reputable contractors or developers
