Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities): Student-run business sales ambassadors staff the various student-run businesses at the Brooklyn Campus, including Canteen. Sales ambassadorsgreet and assist customers, operate the point of sale (POS) system and assist with inventory management, maintenance of the facilities, and online order fulfillment.

Duties and Principal Responsibilities: Operate the point of sale (POS) system to process orders, returns, and exchanges. Utilize customer service skills to assist customers with any questions or concerns. Organize store inventory and displays to ensure the store is presentable and properly stocked. Assist in inventory labeling and fulfilling online sales orders. Communicate regularly with the Director of Student-Run Businesses.

Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR

Period of employment: Begin Date: 9/1/2025 End Date: 6/30/2026

Evaluation procedures and schedules: Evaluated on a continuous basis by supervisor
