Position Specific Summary - The Operations & Finance Assistant will provide operational, finance and event support to staff and volunteers of the organization, which may include but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Updating and organizing the internal documents server and provide improvement suggestions to the existing system
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution
  • Support the Ops team in their role in the Heschel Vision Awards, JUFJ's largest annual event
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of internal processes to increase organizational efficiency
  • Prepare materials and coordinate event vendors as needed
  • Provide additional operational and programmatic support as needed

Standard Position Description - The student will serve as an administrative assistant and perform tasks to support the operations of the office or department with limited oversight while completing assignments, projects, and duties. Tasks may also include: lead and organize administrative functions for mid to large scale programs, projects, or events, serve as a key point of contact for departmental inquiries, assist in the management of department or program communications and data entry/reporting, and/or provide oversight and support for student staff and other administrative tasks. Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.

Required Qualifications - Previous skills, training, or experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications - Extremely organized with high attention to detail. Special consideration will be given to those with strong writing and technology skills. Candidates with finance and accounting experience will have additional opportunities to work with our internal finance team, accountants, and auditors.
