    We’re partnering with a growing metal building manufacturer looking to add an experienced Structural Engineer to its engineering team. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who understands that strong PEMB engineering goes beyond calculations. You’ll have direct involvement in taking projects from structural design through detailing, manufacturing, and production.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Engineer pre-engineered metal building projects using MBS.
    • Perform structural analysis, calculations, and code-compliant design.
    • Design and review primary framing, secondary framing, cold-formed steel, connections, and related building systems.
    • Coordinate engineering requirements with estimating, detailing, purchasing, and manufacturing.
    • Identify and resolve technical issues before they create downstream detailing or production problems.
    • Review engineering work for accuracy, constructability, and applicable code requirements.
    • Maintain clear communication across departments throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Support improvements to engineering standards, processes, and project delivery.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship as the engineering department continues to grow.

    Required Experience

    • Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
    • Strong structural engineering background.
    • Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) or closely related metal building systems.
    • Experience with MBS or the ability to become proficient quickly.
    • Strong knowledge of structural steel design and applicable building codes.
    • Ability to coordinate effectively with detailing, manufacturing, and other project functions.
    • Strong technical problem-solving and project communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced MBS experience.
    • Structural Engineer (SE) licensure.
    • Multi-state PE licensure.
    • Tekla or other structural/design software experience.
    • Metal building manufacturing or fabrication experience.
    • Previous mentoring, technical leadership, or engineering management experience.
