Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Damage Tolerance & Durability (DaDT) Analyst to support B-1 and B-52 aircraft programs. This role focuses on structural analysis, finite element modeling, fatigue and fracture mechanics, and damage tolerance assessments supporting aircraft repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural stress, durability, and damage tolerance analyses.
  • Conduct fail-safe assessments, crack growth analysis, and inspection interval calculations.
  • Develop, execute, and review finite element models.
  • Ensure compliance with USAF Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) requirements.
  • Support structural repairs, modifications, upgrades, and failure investigations.
  • Develop analytical tools and methods to improve engineering efficiency.
Basic Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. (Requires US Citizenship)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of structural analysis experience.
  • 10+ years of fatigue, fracture mechanics, and/or DaDT analysis experience.
  • Expertise in Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM) and Paris Law crack growth analysis.
  • Experience with crack growth tools such as NASGRO, AFGROW, GROWTH, NASA/FLAGRO, or BEAS.
  • Ability to independently develop and manage finite element models.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience with HyperMesh, StressCheck, Abaqus CAE, or Nastran.
  • Familiarity with Boeing durability and damage tolerance methodologies.
  • Experience validating finite element models.
  • Aircraft primary structure experience in military or commercial aerospace applications.

 
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
