Staff Tax Accountant

The Staff Tax Accountant plays a crucial role within a medium-sized team, supporting tax preparation, financial reporting, and client consultations. Reporting directly to the Tax Manager, this role leverages specialized tax software combined with manual processes to ensure compliance and accuracy. This position offers opportunities for professional development and requires no travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for clients
• Assist in financial reporting and analysis related to tax obligations
• Consult with clients to clarify tax issues and resolve inquiries
• Analyze data to identify discrepancies and optimize tax outcomes
• Stay current with regulatory updates impacting tax compliance
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in tax accounting
• Knowledge of tax compliance regulations
• Proficiency with tax software such as Lacerte and Sureprep
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Effective communication and time management skills
