Staff Attorney

Crimson Brand Partners is a dynamic organization dedicated to building and driving high-impact brand initiatives, multi-media rights management, and strategic university-level partnerships. As we continue to scale our operations, optimize our systems, and manage a robust portfolio of premium multi-media rights and corporate sponsorships, we are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Staff Attorney to join our internal team.

Crimson Brand Partners is looking for a Staff Attorney to provide comprehensive, in-house legal support with a primary focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating partner, sponsorship, and vendor agreements. This role is ideal for a proactive legal professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, excels at contract lifecycle management, and enjoys translating complex operational goals into sound legal frameworks. You will work closely with executive leadership to protect the organization's interests while facilitating smooth, efficient business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Structure, draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including third-party corporate sponsorship agreements, multi-media rights contracts, vendor agreements, and marketing partnerships.
  • Assignment & Transition Support: Assist with the legal oversight, risk assessment, and administration of contract assignments, transfers, and amendments during organizational transitions.
  • In-House Advisory: Provide clear, actionable legal advice to internal business units regarding contract interpretation, compliance obligations, and potential legal or operational liabilities.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor adherence to local, state, and institutional regulations; ensure all corporate partnerships and marketing materials comply with applicable laws and intellectual property standards.
  • Corporate Governance: Assist with general corporate legal needs, including maintaining entity filings, managing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and researching regulatory matters as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the Utah State Bar (or eligible for immediate admission/reciprocity).
  • Experience: 2–5 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on corporate law, commercial contracts, or transactional work. Prior in-house experience or familiarity with multi-media, sports, or entertainment law is a strong plus.
  • Contract Expertise: Exceptional drafting and analytical skills, with a proven ability to spot risks and protect organizational interests in commercial agreements.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal business partners.
  • Operational Mindset: A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to legal work, with the organization and drive to manage multiple tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
