Location: Stamford, CT | Salary: $80,600–$87,100

Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, and accounts payable. Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
• 
  
• Review invoices for accuracy, coding, and compliance
• 
  
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
• 
  
• Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
• 
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• 
  
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• 
  
• Support audits and respond to financial information requests
• 
  
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• 
  
• Assist with finance projects and process improvements
• 
  

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 
  
• 2+ years of accounting, AP, bookkeeping, or finance experience
• 
  
• Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
• 
  
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
• 
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• 
  
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• 
  
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
•
