Staff Accountant

Assist with annual audits by gathering supporting documentation, preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor requests, and helping ensure a smooth and efficient audit process. Support the CFO and Accounting Manager in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of financial statements, management reports, and other key accounting deliverables.

CFS is currently engaged with a client to identify a Staff Accountant for their growing accounting department.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• 
  
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with accounting standards and company policies, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial records
• 
  
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain accurate cash balances and reporting
• 
  
• Support the CFO and Accounting Manager in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of financial statements, management reports, and other key accounting deliverables
•

Preferred Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:

• 
  
• Understanding of accounting principles
• 
  
• The Staff Accountant must have their bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 
  
• Knowledge of Excel, including creating spreadsheets. Pivot tables is a plus!
• 
  

Salary is $60,000-68,000
