Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

• Perform complex bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
• 
  
• Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items and discrepancies
• 
  
• Analyze account activity and investigate variances
• 
  
• Prepare and post journal entries
• 
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• 
  
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules
• 
  
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records

• Support financial reporting and audit preparation
• 
  
• Work closely with the accounting team on various accounting projects and initiatives

• Assist with general accounting functions as needed

Preferred Qualifications of the Staff Accountant

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong experience performing complex bank reconciliations

• General ledger and journal entry experience

• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
