Staff Accountant

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 + bonus

Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

• 
  

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals across approximately five entities

  
  
• 
  

• Complete bank reconciliations for multiple accounts

  
  
• 
  

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable for one entity

  
  
• 
  

• Support accounts receivable, including cash application across multiple projects and entities and reconciliation of customer statements

  
  
• 
  

• Own corporate credit card and P-card processes, including expense review, receipt verification, and approval follow-up

  
  
• 
  

• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, rollforwards, and depreciation calculations

  
  
• 
  

• Perform actual-to-budget analysis and assist with financial statement review

  
  
• 
  

• Support month-end close and other general ledger accounting activities

  
  
• 
  

• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as experience and familiarity with the organization grow

  
  
• 
  

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• 
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

  
  
• 
  

• 2–3+ years of accounting experience with exposure beyond primarily accounts payable and accounts receivable

  
  
• 
  

• Experience supporting multiple entities strongly preferred

  
  
• 
  

• Experience working within a robust ERP or accounting system beyond QuickBooks

  
  
• 
  

• Solid understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger accounting

  
  
• 
  

• Strong Excel skills

  
  
• 
  

• Positive, collaborative attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  
  
• 
  

• Organized and detail-oriented, with the confidence to ask questions and take ownership of assigned work
