Job Summary:

BioLegend is seeking a Bioassay Scientist to join the Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCBio) team. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing cell-based bioassays and functional binding assays to evaluate the activity and performance of recombinant proteins and neutralizing antibodies, supporting research, development, and product quality initiatives.

Essential Functions:

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Develop cell-based assays and functional binding assays • Optimize and trouble shoot existing assays • Document experiments and results in a regulatory compliant manner • Effectively communicate experimental results and strategies in presentations and written reports • Write SOP and protocols in support of new product release • Work across functional groups to facilitate new product development • Maintain scientific knowledge and critically evaluate scientific literature and industry trends in order to contribute to new product development

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience:

• MS in Biology or a related field with at least 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience • PhD in Biology or a related field • 5+ years of experience in cell-based assay development and functional binding assay development • 5+ years of experience in tissue/cell culture

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience:

• MS in Biology or a related field with at least 10+ years of relevant laboratory experience • PhD in Biology or a related field with at least 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience • Experience in cell-based assay development and functional binding assay development • 5+ years of experience in tissue/cell culture

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

Base Salary Range:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000 - $162,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
