Tesla's Industrial Products team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the medium voltage hardware within Megablock - Tesla's integrated utility-scale energy and power platform. This role focuses on medium voltage transformers and switchgear connecting at 34.5kV, supporting energy storage deployments worldwide. You will define product requirements, drive the roadmap, and collaborate across engineering, sales, and operations to bring world-class MV solutions to market at global scale.
Own the product roadmap and strategy for medium voltage transformers and switchgear within the Megablock platform
Define product requirements and performance targets based on market needs, customer feedback, utility standards, and regulatory requirements
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on medium voltage equipment, interconnection standards, and global utility requirements
Partner with hardware engineering teams to develop and refine MV designs for reliability, safety, and cost competitiveness
Collaborate with global sales teams to understand regional requirements and drive product customization and configuration strategies
Drive product development through key milestones - from concept to launch & commercialization
Collaborate across teams to develop technical documentation, product datasheets, application guides, and training materials for internal and external audiences
Track competitive landscape and utility interconnection trends to inform product positioning and roadmap decisions
Support project teams and customers with technical guidance on MV integration and system-level deployment
Work with supply chain and operations to manage vendor qualification, component certification, and delivery performance
5+ years of experience in medium voltage systems, electrical engineering, or energy infrastructure
Deep understanding of MV transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and substation design - including protection relay coordination and substation automation
Background in product management, applications engineering, or sales engineering in the MV or HV space
Familiarity with grid interconnection standards
Strong ability to translate technical requirements into product decisions and communicate clearly across engineering and commercial teams
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field, or equivalent experience
Experience working across multiple regulatory environments and global markets preferred
Passion for accelerating the energy transition and enabling large-scale renewable energy integration
