This resource will modify existing software/application programs, which are typically more complex in nature, or write new programs to support user and management needs. Consults with users to design, modify, and explain program changes or to provide technical support.

Summary:
Our client is looking a Sr. Mainframe/Cobol Developer in the Enterprise Payments organization. This resource will modify existing software/application programs, which are typically more complex in nature, or write new programs to support user and management needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designs, tests, debugs, documents, and implements those programs
• Consults with users to design, modify, and explain program changes or to provide technical support
• Resolves problems which occur in production systems.
• Help with setting up BAI files for new customers
• Help with running batch job stream
• Help with documenting test results
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 7+ years of Mainframe experience with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, JCL.
• Working on BAI file setups for previous day and current day
• Familiar with running batch jobs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and multitask within a collaborative work environment.
• Do the right thing attitude while being a strong team player.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Banking experience in Treasury Management
• Experience with BAI file formats would be preferred
• Zeke scheduler
• Working knowledge of Changeman and ServiceNow
• Previous experience in an agile environment
