Summary:
Our client is looking a Sr. Mainframe/Cobol Developer in the Enterprise Payments organization. This resource will modify existing software/application programs, which are typically more complex in nature, or write new programs to support user and management needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs, tests, debugs, documents, and implements those programs
- Consults with users to design, modify, and explain program changes or to provide technical support
- Resolves problems which occur in production systems.
- Help with setting up BAI files for new customers
- Help with running batch job stream
- Help with documenting test results
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of Mainframe experience with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, JCL.
- Working on BAI file setups for previous day and current day
- Familiar with running batch jobs
- Ability to work independently and multitask within a collaborative work environment.
- Do the right thing attitude while being a strong team player.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Banking experience in Treasury Management
- Experience with BAI file formats would be preferred
- Zeke scheduler
- Working knowledge of Changeman and ServiceNow
- Previous experience in an agile environment
