Sr. IT Project Manager

FocusPoint is supporting a confidential enterprise client seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, cross functional technology initiatives. This role sits within a high visibility IT portfolio and requires a seasoned project leader who can drive delivery, manage financials, coordinate vendors, and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.

The Senior IT Project Manager will independently lead large strategic projects, multi project programs, or multiple concurrent initiatives. The work spans planning, execution, implementation, and closure, with significant visibility across the IT organization.

• Lead complex IT projects and/or multi workstream programs from initiation through closure.

• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource strategies.

• Establish clear scope, objectives, governance, and success criteria.

• Drive execution across technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.

• Monitor delivery performance across scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality.

• Identify risks early and implement corrective actions before they impact outcomes.

• Manage vendor deliverables, schedules, dependencies, and financial commitments.

• Own project financials: budgeting, forecasting, tracking, variance analysis, and reporting.

• Prepare concise, executive ready status updates, dashboards, and financial summaries.

• Maintain high standards of data quality for portfolio reporting.

• 10+ years of progressive IT project management experience leading complex, cross functional technology initiatives.

• Experience working within an enterprise IT PMO or portfolio environment.

• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Excellent communication skills across technical, business, vendor, and executive audiences.

• Proven leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and decision making capabilities.

• Experience managing third party vendors, contractors, and professional services.

• Demonstrated success managing schedules, scope, resources, risks, issues, and change.

• Strong project financial management experience (budgeting, forecasting, tracking, variance analysis).

• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, or similar.

• PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications.

• Experience delivering projects across enterprise IT domains (infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, applications, data, integration, digital transformation).

Candidates must be willing to relocate to a commutable distarnace to Nashville, TN or Dallas, TX. Hybrid engagement may be possible depending on project needs.
