As the Sr Imaging and Computer Vision Architect at Ambiq, you will drive the architectural definition of various aspects of Ambiq’s low-power SoCs, with a specific focus on ISP, Video, camera image quality, and AI at the edge for computer vision. This is a critical function at Ambiq that supports the delivery of the world’s lowest-power electronic devices, enabling ubiquitous AI at the edge. This is a cross-functional position working with software and hardware engineering teams, applications engineering, and field teams to ensure alignment to product requirements, logical and physical design constraints, power and performance targets, and overall system architecture. This role will encompass high-level architectural specification, ISP/image quality process definition and optimizations, video encoding/decoding, power/performance modeling, and computer vision use-case definition.
Responsibilities include:
Expectations for a successful candidate are as follows:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
12+ years of imaging, ISP, video, computer vision, AI accelerator, or related architecture experience
Proven experience creating architecture specifications for complex SoCs or hardware platforms
Expertise in one or more of the following:
Image Signal Processing (ISP)
Camera Systems
Computer Vision
Video Encode/Decode
Neural Network Acceleration
Embedded AI
Experience delivering products from concept through silicon validation
Strong understanding of low-power mobile, wearable, or IoT systems
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Requirements:
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Advanced process node experience
Team leadership or technical leadership experience
