A rapidly growing electrical infrastructure company is seeking a strong, hands-on
Senior HR Business Partner to support its field operations. This position is 100% in office and will be based primarily in Clear Lake, with time split between the Clear Lake and Rosharon offices. Very little travel is expected outside of these locations. The initial schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After demonstrating success in the role, the employee may transition to a 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities- Serve
as a trusted HR partner to operational leaders and hourly, field-based
employees.
- Lead
complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations from
intake through resolution.
- Coach
and hold leaders accountable for effectively managing employee
performance, conduct, documentation, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Partner
with Operations, Safety, Legal, and other stakeholders on compliance
issues, safety-sensitive situations, DOT requirements, workplace
incidents, substance testing, and policy violations.
- Evaluate
sensitive or unclear situations, uncover relevant facts, identify
potential risk, and recommend practical, well-documented solutions.
- Support
performance management, workforce planning, employee development,
engagement, retention, organizational change, and offboarding.
- Promote
consistent application of company policies and employment practices across
field operations.
- Identify
employee relations trends and recommend proactive improvements.
- Mentor
and provide guidance to the HR Generalist located in the Rosharon office.
- Maintain
strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and business
matters.
Qualifications- Bachelors
degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required.
- Previous
experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, Employee Relations
leader, or similar HR professional.
- Must
have experience supporting hourly, field-based employees within an
industrial, engineering, construction, infrastructure, field services, or
comparable environment.
- Strong
employee relations and workplace investigation experience.
- Knowledge
of employment compliance, safety-sensitive workforce matters, and
employee-related business risk.
- Ability
to establish credibility with operational leaders, challenge decisions
when appropriate, and hold leaders accountable.
- Strong
judgment and an investigative mindset, with the ability to read between
the lines and navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
- Excellent
communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- High
level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality.
- Resilient,
approachable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced
environment.
Preferred
Experience- Electrical
power services, EPC, utility, transmission and distribution, industrial
construction, petrochemical, engineering, or related infrastructure
experience.
- Experience
supporting multi-state, project-based, DOT-regulated, or safety-sensitive
workforces.
- Experience
partnering directly with Operations and Safety leaders.
- PHR,
SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
