Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, customer-obsessed Senior Director, Business Development to lead strategic expansion of Supermicro's server and data center solutions into enterprise accounts. This role will be instrumental in establishing Supermicro as a trusted, Tier‑1 enterprise infrastructure partner, driving both direct enterprise engagement and partner‑led growth.The ideal candidate brings a strong background in enterprise infrastructure, servers, AI platforms, or data center solutions, with deep relationships across enterprise customers, channel partners, and ecosystem players. This is a high‑impact, build‑and‑scale role requiring both strategic vision and hands‑on execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Develop and execute a business development strategy to grow Supermicro's server and infrastructure footprint across enterprise customers and key verticals (financial services, healthcare, government, telecom, manufacturing).
- Identify and prioritize high‑value enterprise opportunities across AI infrastructure, private cloud, HPC, data center refresh, and edge computing.
- Position Supermicro as a credible Tier‑1 enterprise solution provider by articulating clear first‑to‑market differentiation, deep system customization, workload‑optimized performance, and superior total cost of ownership.
- Drive enterprise expansion through strategic partners and key ecosystem players
- Build executive‑level relationships with partner leadership to influence joint GTM motions, account targeting, and pipeline creation.
- Collaborate across sales, marketing, product, engineering to execute cohesive strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field
- 17+ years in Business Development with demonstrated success driving growth in large enterprise accounts and strategic partnerships within enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Proven success driving growth in servers, storage, data center platforms, AI systems, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of enterprise buying cycles, procurement, and decision‑making processes.
- Demonstrated experience working with or through ecosystem partners.
- Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders.
Salary Range
$265,000 - $300,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
