The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

The Data Analyst, Admissions plays a critical role in supporting institutional decision-making by transforming admissions, financial aid, and revenue data into actionable insights. This position partners closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, Finance, and Academic Leadership to develop predictive models, revenue projections, and enrollment forecasts that guide recruitment strategy, scholarship optimization, and long-term financial planning.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of higher education enrollment dynamics and communicates complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Predictive Modeling & Forecasting

• Build predictive models to support:

• Application and enrollment yield

• Financial aid impact on student decision-making

• Revenue optimization and discount rate management

• Create short- and long-term enrollment forecasts by program, modality, and student segment.

• Develop revenue projections incorporating tuition, scholarships, institutional aid, and enrollment scenarios.

• Perform scenario modeling (best case / expected / worst case) to support leadership planning and budget development.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze admissions funnel data (inquiry through enrollment) to identify trends, conversion drivers, and opportunities for growth.
• Develop dashboards and recurring reports on application volume, yield, financial aid utilization, net tuition revenue, and cohort performance.
• Monitor KPIs related to enrollment, discount rate, melt, retention, and revenue.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across CRM, SIS, financial aid, and finance systems.

Financial Aid & Revenue Strategy

• Analyze scholarship effectiveness and ROI.
• Support aid packaging strategy through modeling of award elasticity and enrollment outcomes.
• Partner with Finance to align enrollment forecasts with institutional budget planning.
• Evaluate pricing strategies and program-level profitability.

Strategic Partnership & Decision Support

• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for Admissions, Financial Aid, and senior leadership.
• Support recruitment strategy by identifying high-value student segments and markets.
• Present insights to cross-functional stakeholders using clear visualizations and narratives.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support leadership initiatives and special projects

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required
• 2 years of experience in higher education, enrollment management, or finance preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner required
• Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset required
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar required
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling required
• Strong experience with SQL and Excel preferred
• Experience building predictive models and forecasts using tools such as R, Python, or advanced Excel preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and communicate insights clearly preferred.
• Knowledge of admissions funnels, financial aid processes, and tuition revenue concepts preferred.
