Sr. Business Analyst
Summary
Our client is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical solutions within an Agile development environment. This role will involve extensive collaboration with business partner stakeholders, clarifying business needs, eliciting requirements, and translating them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather, clarify, analyze, and document business requirements working closely with business partner stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between business partners, the product manager, the product owner, and the development team.
- Ensure complete and robust acceptance criteria for each user story, and monitor that these criteria are met.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Create clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and maintain a detailed team backlog.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis or an equivalent combination.
- Experience in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Excellent skills for gathering, analyzing, and validating requirements through proven business analysis techniques.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with a quality-minded approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively and negotiate successful solutions.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to express findings clearly both verbally and in writing.
Preferred
- Familiarity with or ability to learn SQL.
- Proactive with demonstrated initiative.
- Experience with defect handling and prioritizing value stream deliverables.
This is a 6-month opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
