We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Back End Engineer to spearhead our development initiatives, be a thought leader, and establish [cafeteria] as a market leader.

about the role
You'll be joining a venture-backed, high-energy, entrepreneurial team that is deeply focused on building scalable backend infrastructure to power our platform. You will work closely with the team to design, develop, and maintain core backend services, ensuring they are robust, secure, and capable of scaling as we grow. With your extensive experience in AWS, SQL, and database management across platforms like BigQuery, Snowflake, ClickHouse, and Postgres, you'll play a critical role in managing and optimizing data pipelines and integrations. In addition to your backend skills, proficiency in TypeScript will be key for ensuring a consistent, maintainable codebase.
We need someone who thrives in the fast-paced world of startups, someone who can juggle many tasks and take initiative in shaping the backend that powers our vision.

We are NYC-based, currently operating remote. We have a strong preference for candidates in or near NYC, with the ability to meet in person periodically. Remote candidates will be considered, but the ability to operate in ET and collaborate in real time is a must.
