LHH has partnered with a growing, project driven organization is seeking a Sr Accountant to support day to day accounting operations while providing accurate, timely financial insights to leadership. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, job cost analysis, and process improvement, and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the close, partnering cross functionally, and contributing to operational and strategic decision making in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities of this Sr Accountant include:

  • Manage core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, general ledger activity, and job/project cost tracking

  • Own the accounting close cycles, ensuring accurate reconciliations and clear explanations of fluctuations

  • Review project‑level financial performance, highlighting cost patterns, margin trends, and risk areas

  • Develop regular cash position updates and contribute to forward‑looking liquidity and forecast models

  • Uphold accounting standards and reinforce control frameworks in line with established reporting guidelines

  • Coordinate indirect tax reporting and support adherence to multi‑jurisdictional regulatory obligations

  • Oversee capital asset records, including amortization, tracking, and reconciliation activities

  • Prepare audit support materials and serve as a point of contact for audit‑related follow‑ups

  • Participate in financial planning initiatives by assisting with budget development and performance tracking

  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

  • Mentor team members while partnering with internal stakeholders across departments

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Hands on experience with job costing, project accounting, and general ledger management

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices

  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with leadership and operations
