Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Denver, CO

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of accounting, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while providing strategic insights to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Stay current with accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and developing staff
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Job Information:

  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Full Time or Part Time Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week
  • Job-site location-Hybrid

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $129,998.00 per year
