    Description

    We are seeking a SQ QMFD New Launch Lead Lead Engineer for our client in Monroe, GA. Our client is a market leader in developing and manufacturing automotive components.

    Responsibilities of the SQ QMFD New Launch Lead Lead Engineer:
    • Engage in the implementation and maintenance of Supplier Quality Management Systems for the region and collaborate with regional and global sites to achieve successful program launches and quality sustainability activities.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with suppliers to implement best practices.
    • Conduct supplier process audits to ensure quality standards compliance, verify the process, and identify improvement areas.
    • Ensure new launch activities comply with Global Quality Operations Systems ( GQOS ) related to supplier quality, OEM requirements, AIAG/VDA, and core tools.
    • Conduct supplier qualification audits for the region, supplier development and training, and Supplier Quality Management standardization to achieve global and CSR requirements.
    • Train and develop site Supplier Quality Management Team, including team on control and new technology from supplied parts.
    • Support supplier APQP and PPAP achievement.
    • Collaborate with U.S. regional QMFD group, the Site Supplier Quality Management team, and Global Quality Groups to ensure the implementation and achievement of GQOS.
    • Promote and manage supplier APQP activities to achieve production preparation activities for suppliers, realize early resolution of all issues, and ensure flawless launch in mass production.
    • Support supplier selection process, including technology-related design review activities to confirm the supplier RFQ process.
    • Support supplier onboarding training programs on quality standards and company s continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate supplier quality improvements into production processes. Prepare and present reports on supplier quality performance and improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier audits, performance metrics, and corrective actions per GQOS.
    • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies, CSRs, and regulatory requirements.
    Qualifications for the SQ QMFD New Launch Lead Lead Engineer:
    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering or related field and 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Engineer II or Senior SQA Engineer in the automotive components manufacturing industry.
    • Experience must include root cause analysis and 8D problem solving. Demonstrable knowledge of supplier quality management systems and standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, CQI, CSR) required.
    • Employment contingent upon drug screen and background check. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week within normal commuting distance of assigned office location. Up to 50% domestic and international travel may be required.
