This position provides support to teachers and students in a classroom setting.
Assist with preparing instructional materials, classroom displays, and maintaining an organized environment.
Help with inventory, equipment maintenance, and administrative record-keeping.
Support substitute teachers and assist students with disabilities, personal care, and developing motor skills.
Help manage student behavior, intervene in crises, and ensure safety inside and outside the classroom.
Work with individual students or small groups, and communicate student needs to teachers.
Participate in staff development, meetings, and school events, maintaining punctuality and confidentiality.
Work in a moderate noise environment, with travel within the district required; campus-based work requires regular onsite attendance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following: associate degree, 48 college credits, or passing an assessment.
Paraprofessional certificate from State Board of Certification.
Experience or training in supporting children with disabilities preferred.
Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
