The Marketing Specialist supports the execution of marketing campaigns that promote YMCA programs, services, and community impact across assigned portfolios. This role works closely with marketing leadership and internal partners to implement approved strategies, coordinate campaigns, and track performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow their marketing skills within a mission-driven organization.

This position operates with guidance from senior marketing staff and within established brand, messaging, and campaign frameworks.

Salary range is $55,000-$57,500 per year, includes full-time benefits, and opportunities to grow within the organization

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Execute marketing campaigns across digital, email, and other channels using established strategies and templates
  • Support assigned portfolios including community hubs and hyperlocal initiatives by coordinating campaign timelines and deliverables
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, clarify needs, and implement approved marketing requests
  • Assist with audience segmentation and messaging using existing data and tools
  • Track campaign performance and prepare basic reports to share results, trends, and recommendations
  • Support testing and optimization efforts such as subject lines, content variations, and scheduling under direction
  • Maintain marketing assets, calendars, and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure all materials align with YMCA brand standards, inclusion practices, and organizational policies

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work in partnership with marketing leadership, program staff, and other departments to support marketing goals
  • Participate in planning meetings and provide status updates on assigned work
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders regarding timelines and deliverables

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or preferred equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Ability to develop campaign strategies, segment, and target audiences for engagement and conversion
  • Hands-on experience with campaign execution and an expert grasp of audience segmentation, as well as integrated nurture and outbound campaigns
  • Ability to achieve results by taking a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives

  • Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor -
  • Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
  • Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
  • Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
