Bachelors degree. Three years of administrative experience are required. Additional administrative experience may substitute for the required college education on a year for year basis.

The Special Projects Administrator 1 position is assigned to the Director's Office of the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner Department and reports directly to the Department Director/Chief Medical Examiner. The position provides high-level professional support and assists with managing strategic initiatives and departmental goals, coordinating projects, tracking executive directives and assignments, preparing executive-level communications, conducting research and analysis, facilitating intergovernmental coordination, and completing other special assignments as needed.
The incumbent collaborates closely with County leadership and key stakeholders to promote coordinated and effective service delivery across the organization. The position coordinates responses to executive-level inquiries and sensitive matters, facilitates interdepartmental collaboration, monitors action items, coordinates timely resolution, and ensures appropriate follow-up and completion.
The position also supports departmental accreditation activities, organizational performance monitoring, and compliance with applicable County policies, Administrative Orders, Implementing Orders, accreditation standards, and other requirements.
This position requires considerable independent judgment, discretion, organizational awareness, and strong written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent may lead or coordinate cross-functional teams and department-wide projects involving multiple departmental bureaus, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.
