Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our grades 4–8 program in New London, CT. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring academic success and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with curriculum standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification (Grades 4–8)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience working with students in upper elementary and middle school settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
