    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in K-5

    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education staff to create a supportive learning environment

    • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs

    • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

    • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and district policies

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or equivalent teaching credential

    • Valid North Carolina state teaching certification in Special Education (K-12) or equivalent

    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a special education teacher in a school setting, with proficiency in K-5 classroom management and IEPs

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work in a team

    • Background check clearance

    • Physical stamina for daily classroom activities
