Position Summary

The Special Education Classroom Aide provides specialized educational support services for students . This role collaborates with educators, related service providers, and families to promote student success while complying with district, state, and federal requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in daily classroom activities.
• Support students with academic and behavioral needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance.
• Assist with classroom management.
• Help implement IEP accommodations.
• Monitor student safety.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Maintain documentation as assigned.
• Collaborate with staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Certifications

High school diploma/GED; paraprofessional certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• School-based experience.
• Patience and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
