Special Ed. Teacher

Special Education Teacher delivering individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a Chandler, AZ school setting. Responsible for developing IEPs, adapting lessons, and collaborating with staff and families to support student progress. Works on a 36-week contract with competitive hourly pay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.

• Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and requirements.

• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Manage classroom behavior and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

• Utilize assistive technology and specialized resources to support student learning and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or an equivalent credential.

• State certification in Special Education or relevant licensure in Arizona.

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a school setting with special education students.

• Strong communication, patience, and collaboration skills.

• Background check clearance and compliance with school district policies.

• Familiarity with IEPs and experience with diverse learning needs.
