Software Engineering Manager
Pay Rate:$120,000–$190,000/year; Based on experience

Experience:5+ years of related software development experience, including leading software development projects
Technical Skills: Experience with .NET/C#, .NET Core, Python, CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, and modern JavaScript frameworks required
Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and developing software engineering teams required
Our growing client is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for developing and supporting applications that power digital experiences, internal operations, and critical financial integrations. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technology leader who can combine software engineering expertise, people leadership, delivery management, and architectural strategy to build high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the Software Engineering Manager will include:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers while fostering quality, curiosity, and continuous improvement
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment and ongoing support
- Oversee application design and delivery using Microsoft .NET technologies, modern web frameworks, and relational databases
- Partner with business leaders, IT security, compliance, and operations to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements
- Establish and promote engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and secure development standards
- Partner with the CIO to develop and prioritize a technology roadmap for platform enhancements
- Collaborate with project leadership and Business Analysts to prioritize development initiatives
- Drive the iterative and continuous delivery of working software
- Promote strong documentation, operational readiness, and production stability
- Provide technical expertise in architecture, development standards, governance, and design patterns
- Mentor developers and help maintain an architecture that supports both immediate and long-term organizational needs
Qualifications for the role of Software Engineering Manager:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree, industry-recognized equivalent certifications, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of related experience in software development and leading software development projects
- Experience with .NET Development, including C# and .NET Core
- Experience with Python development
- Experience creating and implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud technologies and services, including AWS/Azure DevOps/GitHub
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte
- Proven ability to participate in a full-stack development team
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and work with minimal supervision
- Must be bondable and maintain required certification status
