Job Description

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a focus on backend development, complemented by frontend expertise. This role involves a 70/30 split between backend and frontend tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Golang, or Ruby on Rails. (Must be experienced in at least one of these programming languages)
• Collaborate with frontend teams using JavaScript to ensure seamless integration with backend services.
• Implement containerization using Docker containers and manage deployments.
• Utilize AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes for cloud infrastructure management.
• Engage in full stack development to support various project needs.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in at least one core backend language: Golang, Java, or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience in frontend development using JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization practices.
• Knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Understanding of Kubernetes for orchestration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in full stack development.
• Must be willing to work East Coast Hours.

Work Environment

The role operates on East Coast hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, but candidates can work from any location. The work environment encourages flexibility while maintaining core work hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
