Your Role

Akkodis is recruiting for a SW Development Engineer for an aerospace manufactuer in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay rate of $60 an our to $80 an hour depending on education, experience and location.

• Develop and maintain software solutions using Python and C#.

• Apply object-oriented programming principles to design and implement robust applications.

• Utilize GitHub for version control and collaborate on code reviews.

• Write and maintain requirements and test procedures for software components.

• Participate in Agile sprints and manage tasks through Rally.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and compliance with program standards.

• Support occasional on-site activities, including integration and customer meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and C#.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.

• Game design

• Software Simulation

• Experience with GitHub, Visual Studio, and VS Code.

Additional Skills:

• Ability to write requirements and create test procedures.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint planning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or automotive industries (or adjacent fields).

• Knowledge of Cameo and SmartBear tools.

• Exposure to integration with hardware systems.

• GitHub, Visual Studio, VS Code

• Rally for task management

• Remarks (internal tool for requirements)

Pay Details: $60.00 to $80.00 per hour
