Senior Software Engineer – Control Room Simulator (Remote)
Location: 100% Remote (Contiguous US) with occasional business travel as required.

Are you a talented software engineer who thrives on solving complex, real-world problems? We are looking for an experienced developer to help build, refine, and maintain high-impact software powering our control room simulator environments. You will play a vital role in delivering production-ready, client-server software solutions where uptime, safety, and performance are top priorities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Develop & Innovate: Design, build, test, and maintain robust software applications supporting control room simulators and related technical platforms.
Problem Solve: Diagnose complex software defects, engineer reliable solutions, and identify root causes to maximize system reliability and performance.
Drive Quality: Write clean, maintainable code following strict configuration management and software QA standards.
Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to vet architectures, review code, and deliver scalable, high-quality features.
Hands-On Setup: Manage local and remote hardware configurations (workstations, displays, networking) as needed, with limited paid travel to company facilities.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Education: B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related technical discipline. (Degrees in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering with 5+ years of proven software deliverables will also be considered.)
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience, ideally focused on high-uptime, customer-facing, or client-server systems.
Core Technical Stack:
Strong proficiency with C#, WPF, SQL, Visual Studio, and Git/GitLab.
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and distributed architecture.
Regulatory Compliance: Must be eligible to work under U.S. Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 regulations.

Position involves sitting, standing, walking, and occasional hardware assembly (cabling, computer setups).
Ability to travel nationally using standard commercial transit.
