    Description

    The Department of Academic Information Technology is accepting applications for its Academic Information Technology position.

    Examples of Duties

    • Administer, configure, and maintain Canvas LMS, Ellucian Banner SaaS integrations, and related instructional technology applications.
    • Manage SIS/LMS integrations, middle-ware, APIs, LTI tools, data feeds, SIS imports, and authentication processes.
    • Monitor automated processes for student enrollment, course provisioning, user provisioning, and data synchronization between Banner SaaS and Canvas.
    • Troubleshoot application issues, integration errors, data synchronization problems, and user access concerns.
    • Coordinate system upgrades, patches, configuration changes, testing, and validation for Canvas, Banner SaaS integrations, and related technologies.
    • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to faculty, staff, and students, including development of instructional videos, guides, FAQs, and documentation.
    • Support data governance, FERPA compliance, information security, institutional policies, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.
    • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, faculty, staff, and students to resolve issues, maintain system documentation, and support institutional technology needs.

    Typical Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    • 2-4 years of experience administering and supporting enterprise applications.
    • Experience working with Banner SaaS, ILP, Canvas application integrations, data exchange, and enterprise systems.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and support requests.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with Banner SaaS, ILP, Canvas, identify root causes, and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
