    Job Summary:

    The Clinical Social Worker in Rehabilitation Psychology provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment, counseling, and care coordination services to individuals experiencing physical injury, chronic illness, disability, or neurological conditions. Under clinical supervision, provide direct clinical services to include diagnosis, psychotherapy and diagnosis/problem-based treatment planning. Documents and communicates expected outcomes with all members of the multidisciplinary team, patient and family to foster identification of patient-centered, measurable and time-estimated goals. Helps to facilitate referrals to outside services as needed and supports adjustment, coping skills, and overall psychological well-being throughout the recovery and rehabilitation process.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    MSW from a Social Work program accredited by the Council on Social Work (CSWE); NYS LMSW certification and 3 years of relevant post-masters experience required (preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.) Actively working to obtain L.C.S.W.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and medical settings, particularly in outpatient environments.
