Description

Overview The Social Media Manager owns social media strategy and execution for Poppi, combining strategic leadership with high volume content production. This role leads the growth and ongoing engagement of an audience of 2M+ followers, leveraging cultural insight and platform expertise to keep Poppi ahead of culture and firmly positioned as the clear leader in modern soda. You'll own the end-to-end content engine from strategy and briefing, through content production and posting, while developing and managing a direct report to scale both output and team capability. This is a high autonomy, high- impact role for a strategic operator who combines sharp creative taste with the judgment to shape platform direction and brand voice at scale. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications What You Bring 3-5 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or content marketing, including experience shaping channel strategy (not just execution) Proven ability to translate strategy into structured creative briefs and clear direction for teams and collaborators Strong platform expertise across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels, with a native understanding of platform behaviors and nuances Deep cultural fluency - a track record of identifying and acting on trends ahead of the curve, not just reacting to them Highly developed creative taste in short-form video (sound, editing style, pacing, visual storytelling) and sharp editorial judgment to balance trend participation with long-term brand positioning Experience managing or mentoring team members, or strong readiness to take on people management Data-driven mindset, with experience using performance insights to optimize content and inform strategy Ability to operate with speed and autonomy in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams without compromising quality or brand consistency Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or related field preferred Champion of poppi's brand values and community, with a genuine love of pop culture and internet trends EEO Statement Our Company will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other applicable laws, including but not limited to, San Francisco Police Code Sections 4901-4919, commonly referred to as the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance; and Chapter XVII, Article 9 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, commonly referred to as the Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
