SMT Operator

Johnson Service Group is looking for an SMT Operator for one of our clients in San Jose. SMT Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining SMT equipment used in circuit board assembly. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate SMT pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, labeling machines, and reflow ovens.

• Perform manual component placement and circuit board inspections.

• Read and follow Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI).

• Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.

• Follow quality and traceability procedures.

• Assist with machine setup, training, and operator support.

• Work with Production and Engineering to maintain efficient operations.

• Assist other departments and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• SMT/electronics manufacturing experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

• Flexible to work different shifts as needed.
