Our client, a well-established commercial construction contractor, is seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead jobsite safety on projects in the Jacksonville, Florida area. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term growth with a respected firm.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and enforcing site-specific safety plans and procedures
- Conducting jobsite safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
- Training field employees and subcontractors on safety requirements
- Investigating incidents and near misses and documenting corrective actions
- Maintaining safety records and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Working with project teams to identify and correct hazards
The ideal candidate will have:
- Construction safety management experience on commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Relevant safety training or certifications (such as OSHA 30; CHST or similar a plus)
- Excellent communication, training, and documentation skills
- The ability to build a strong safety culture across crews and subcontractors
