Service Operations Coordinator (Shop Flow Manager)

Crain Kia of Fayetteville | High-Volume Service Department

We are not looking for a traditional service advisor.

We are hiring a Service Operations Coordinator — someone who can control the flow of a fast-moving shop, manage multiple jobs at once, and ensure nothing gets stuck, missed, or delayed.

If you’ve worked in dispatch, logistics, fleet maintenance, manufacturing scheduling, or a high-volume service environment, this role will feel familiar.

What You’ll Own (This is not a passive role)

You are responsible for keeping the shop moving — at all times.

  • Dispatch and prioritize repair orders based on technician skill and workload
  • Track the status of every vehicle in the shop (nothing sits unnoticed)
  • Follow up with technicians in real time — not at the end of the day
  • Identify bottlenecks and solve them before they become problems
  • Coordinate with parts, advisors, and management to keep workflow efficient
  • Ensure work is completed in the right order, at the right time, by the right person
  • Hold the standard on urgency, communication, and execution

What We’re Looking For

This role is about how you think, not just where you’ve worked.

You might come from:

  • Logistics / dispatch (trucking, delivery, operations)
  • Fleet or diesel maintenance shops
  • Manufacturing or production scheduling
  • Aviation maintenance coordination
  • High-volume service or collision centers

You will stand out if you:

  • Naturally organize chaos and prioritize under pressure
  • Track multiple moving pieces without losing control
  • Follow up relentlessly without being asked
  • Take ownership when things fall behind and fix it
  • Communicate clearly and directly with a team

This Role Is NOT For Someone Who

  • Waits to be told what to do
  • Gets overwhelmed when things get busy
  • Avoids difficult conversations with technicians or team members
  • Is focused only on customer interaction and not internal execution

What Success Looks Like

  • No stalled repair orders
  • Technicians are consistently working on the right jobs
  • Work is flowing efficiently from check-in to completion
  • Problems are identified early and handled quickly
  • The entire shop runs with urgency and clarity

What You Get

  • Competitive pay based on experience and performance
  • Opportunity to step into a leadership role within operations
  • A fast-paced environment where strong operators stand out quickly
  • A team that values execution, accountability, and growth
